Ok, few things wrong with what was said after this all happened, and what's being discussed here.
First, we are *NOT* wild. We aren't BSP, KoS, KoT, Imperial, Myth, DM, or any other freakin clan you could name. Closest thing to a clan we were was when 4 of us titled Shining Path last wipe. That fit our philosophy of exploration only. Unfortunately, we kept getting confused with Shining Force or Pathfinders, so we decided not to title SP again this wipe. In fact, we haven't donned titles at all, but that's probably because we're Amish. My name is Steve, but I'm not the Pith Steve from Goda Vos (as was suggested in the post-assrape pillowtalk).
What we are is a small group trying to learn the game. We zone, and that's pretty much it. We spend an enormous amount of time loring trash, digging keywords, breading spintraps, and getting wiped out stumbling into unknown battles and DTs. We made a point this wipe to neither group with, or group outsiders. This keeps us pretty weak, no elite equip or spells, but the plan was to stay of of clan business.
I also want to say some of the BSP folks involved were pretty cool after it happened. They realized from our pathetic KLOOT we were pretty much no threat, and tossed back a few items. The offer to sell us back the stuff for 10k was pretty funny. It'd take us longer to load 10k then it would to repop the trash we had.
Mike R., you must be the guy who accused us of being a prep-factory for Wild. Were you reading the same logs we were? First, the hit didn't happen near Graknar, it was in Windfall. We were checking a decay right before this crap happened. I never considered Windfall to be a prep-zone. If preps load there, we haven't found them. You all can see from the crap on our corpses that we weren't carrying any preps. No heals, hastes, fireshields; nothing. The guys who ditched weren't carrying much better, either. As for the low lev cleric with 2 +heals, Scott's cleric was damn close to lev 30 when this happened, and the +heals are probably the easiest +heal to load in all of Arctic. Only reason he was carrying 2 was we'd popped a spare earlier while book hunting and hadn't really decided what to do with the thing. If someone had asked Scott for it, he probably would've just given it away. Rent sucked.
Don't know what else to say. Klint's right. He knows me from about three wipes ago when we were both clubbing pigeons to get by.
