The air is rich with the smell of smoke mixed with that of roasting
lion meat. The frost relentlessly covers the path, and you see many
footprints leading east and south. While only a small settlement near the
mountains, many merchants now travel through the barbarian village on their
way to Lantern to the west or Delphon to the north. Most of the caravans
must be forced to travel around the village, though, as this path is not
suitable for wagons.

The grassy path, covered in a blanket of thick frost, winds its way
through many huts. This village doesn't appear very sophisticated, barely
civilized. Smoke drifts idily across your path from one of the thatched
roofs, carrying with it the tantalizing scent of roasting lion meat. Though
frost covers most everything in this primitive village, there are very few
piles of snow.

This grassy path, etched in deep, white frost, winds its way through
several huts. Though populated, this village is strikingly quiet and the
barbaric humans that pass you seem apprehensive. The huts are made of stone
with thatched roofs and look rather crude, though stable. Skirting the
foothills of the Khalkists north of here, many travelers pass through this
village, though not all of them receive a warm welcome. The air is quiet
and peaceful, filled with the distant giggle of laughing children, though
their voices are soon hushed.

Don't tell me you gave Corey Huma's!

That stuff is supposed to go to Feroz
  6. Rorc · 27 Apr 2005
Rurh - Feroz already had his turn (No, I'm not joking, Feroz did use Humas this wipe- and not on a chaos day)

    Edit: Spelling
  7. Rurh · 27 Apr 2005
    What terminated his turn?
  8. robh · 27 Apr 2005
    The fact that hes Feroz?
  9. Rurh · 27 Apr 2005
If it was like that then he shouldn't have recieved it in the first place.
  10. reafe · 27 Apr 2005
Rurh you prove once again why you are a moron and should not post. This is taken from the log:

    You feel slow.
    Drasancas pierces YOU very hard.
    Drasancas pierces YOU very hard.
  11. Rurh · 27 Apr 2005
Reafe, once again you prove that you're an utter idiot and should not post.

    Ignorance != Stupidity

Just because I didn't notice something has no bearing on my intelligence whatsoever.

Not that I expect you to actually understand the difference.. because frankly, you suffer from the stupidity side, not the ignorance.
  12. reafe · 27 Apr 2005
your comebacks are quite honestly the worst i have ever seen, i believe feroz could accomplish better

the point is, you should really learn to think before you post. you post so many ridiculous comments on a regular basis, that you can no longer use the excuse of ignorance. only stupidity can explain it. you sit at your computer all day long, clicking refresh on suf's page every 60 seconds hoping to see another log so that you can post 10 more meaningless comments. then someone attacks your posts, and you think to yourself "yes!! now I can reply and drag this argument on and post 10 more meaningless comments!" or sometimes you try and actually defend yourself, but due to the sheer number of annoying, stupid posts you have made in the past your word no longer holds any merit to anyone.
  13. Mike R. · 27 Apr 2005
ignorance is no excuse! off with his head!
  14. Rurh · 27 Apr 2005
The quality of comeback is irrelevant.

The sheer fact is, you blasted the world with your idiocy, once again.

    I just pointed it out.

But on the side note, as a question after reviewing the log again, how come he was still hasted after that Haste wearing off message?

    log editing! CHEATING! WHO KNOWS
  17. Rurh · 27 Apr 2005
Well, after sifting through your pointless drivel in your edited message.

Why don't you read my original post again? You might comprehend it this time maybe?

Little thinking was even required, because it was supposed to be a joke. Rorc seemed to get that much. Why can't you?

And yet AGAIN you announce your fucking stupidity... keep going, you make me laugh.

ps. Simple minds are the only ones who would start to equate # of posts as an inverse relationship to meaning.
If what's being said has merit, that's what counts, not the rate in which stuff is said.

But you don't get that either.
  18. Rurh · 27 Apr 2005
That would make a pretty funny paradox.

So what would happen if I declared "I am Rurh, nothing I say has any merit!" 5 thousand times.

But because I spam it 5 thousand times, what I said has no merit, which would make the statement true. But it can't be true because if I spam it enough, what I'm saying has no merit, so the statement must be false.

I'm sorry, it just doesn't work like that.
Why don't you just admit that your brain fogs over and you simply want an excuse to not listen? It's not a matter of what's being said is right or wrong... it's whether you like hearing it or not.
  19. reafe · 27 Apr 2005
It comes from the fact that all of the experienced players in Arctic feel the same way. In wild and outlaw irc, everyone feels that you are a stupid person who posts way too much. Just because I'm the only one writing about it here doesn't mean other people don't feel the same way. I don't know about BSP, Dark age, or Myth irc members but I would guess they agree.

Maybe suf should start a poll with the question "Who feels Rurh is stupid" or "Who feels Rurh looks like a moron by posting so much"?
  20. Rurh · 27 Apr 2005
Oh, it's a good thing that if a lot of people think something is true, that it is.

I forgot about that particular law of physics.

Let's all get together and think that doughnuts have no calories while we're at it.

    --

So far you, nor anyone else has refuted what I've said.
You just keep bitching that I've said it.

Ironically, you spurred the very spam that you are whining about.
  21. kamij · 27 Apr 2005
I don't see where Corey is still hasted after his haste wears off. He bashes, a round goes by, he's free to act again, at the same time his haste wears and he bashes again. It then takes him 2 rounds to bash from that point on. Unless I missed something.

i'm really tempted to code up an option to greek out all rurh posts...

  24. fredrik · 27 Apr 2005
There's more ways than haste to hit more than once/turn with prim Rurh, and if you spent half the time you spend on posting on forums on actually playing the game you post about, maybe you could learn how too!
  25. kamij · 27 Apr 2005
I see what your talking about, but I don't think it's a haste thing. The haste faded, and it shows he was taking 2 rounds to bash afterwards. I'm not familar with an item that allows you to do that, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was. If he had humas, he wouldn't have had the haste spell cast on him, and he'd still be bashing every round instead of every other round. Perhaps his prime has some 2nd hit special like that.

Fredrik: You have no idea how funny that is.

But that's why I was asking about it.

Time spent on the mud doesn't necesarily tranlsate into being elite. You've got to compromise values and standards, whore yourself to anyone who will take you, give the jerkface dial a couple hundred spins, and *poof* you can be just like corey - have everything given to you. Anyone can fucking bash people unless you don't have the skill or connection or something. The rest of it is simply deciding whether you can take the person, if you have backup preps, and having some nerves.
  27. al · 27 Apr 2005
    You feel slow.

He was going for ultimate, super haste; hasting with Huma's means you get +hr, +dam, +23 vs, and a wb flag.
  28. runulv · 27 Apr 2005
Rurh, game knowledge is power, why do you think anyone would tell it straight up in forums?
And if being cool and funny, like fredrik, is whoring up to anyone... what can I say? I guess your posting says more about yourself than anyone else.
  29. psychoDAD · 27 Apr 2005
it must suck to be the person that people compare you for being the "low" of all "lows".

    how does it feel feroz?

reafe. you cant use real logic to argue with rurh.

Rurh's grandma died 4 times. And this was after she fell asleep in the afterlife. This is why his mind isso fux0red.

Give him rice and daily pudding and he will come.. he will come..

    >psychoDAD< it must suck to be the person that people compare you for being the "low" of all "lows". how does it feel feroz?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but, John(Feroz) has actually gained a lot of game knowledge and maturity since his days as "Feroz."

He may not be at the same level as other people, but he is coming along (And I think that there are several other people who could now take over that classification)

    Also,

The reason that corey still hit 2x after he got the "You feel slow" message is because:

    He cheats.
  31. Malth · 27 Apr 2005

Runluv: Your post was a) irrelevant b) nonsequator?

No fucking shit knowlege=power.. a lot of upper knowlege you can't even begin to gather unless you tag along with big group and log(steal) info, or convince enough people to follow you.
And your definition of whoring is bad.

PsychoDAD: any logic at all, is fairly sparse coming from people.

    1) My first post
    2) reafe - I imply that you are stupid because I don't understand the difference between stupidity and ignorance.
    3) I counter
    4) Your facts lacked style - therefore it was wrong. Furthermore, # of posts is inversely proportional to the posts' correctness.
    5) I counter - pointing out the obvious paradox of the statment
    6) reafe - a number of people think you're stupid - therefore you are
    7) I counter - doesn't work that way
    8) fredrik - You post a lot, therefore you don't play much
    9) I counter - there is no relation there

So far any 'logic' coming from these people has been utterly abysmal.

I'm still waiting for anyone to use any 'real' logic that isn't. You suck - STFU - Your stupid because you post at a slightly higher rate than I do - You suck - You suck because you suck.
    6)
