You have entered the tavern of the Pig and Whistle. Unusually large, it
has a full length oak bar against the far wall. Many bottles of spirits
fill racks on the walls and beer kegs lay stacked and at the ready in the
corner. Small stools and tables encrusted with grime invite you to sit and
relax. A small staircase leads upwards to the sleeping quarters, and to the
west is a meeting room.

Before you stands tavern square, a meeting place of many people and
races. The cobbles have been freshly washed and there is an air of
peacefulness about the drinkers wandering into the inn to the south. A dark
alley leads to the north, a cobbled lane to the west. Death row and the
executioners block lead to the east. Far to the west lies high street and
the main shops of Balifor. A big painted sign swings from an iron clasp on
the tavern wall.

A Cobbled Lane
The narrow cobbled lane leads east-west towards the main town squares.
Old houses loom above you, casting shadows that dance and seem to follow
your movements. The occasional rat scurries away in your presence. To the
north you see an old well house, possibly the oldest building in this
section of town.
A delicious loaf of bread rests upon the ground. [12]

Traders Square
This is the centre and heart of Port Balifor. All around you tradesmen
banter for your custom. Their many bright and varied goods hang from wooden
stalls and mobile barrows. The smell of fresh produce fills the air,
sea-salt sweet. The hustle and bustle of people coming and going distort
your view of the many fine houses that occupy the streets that lead away
from the centre in all directions. A sign stands in the centre of the

and departs with the quietest of whispers. Overhead, the white clouds mold
and twist themselves, splashing against the shores of heavens unseen. The
azure sky, peeking carefully between frothy, white lumps, begins to show
the first signs of night as darkness begins to pull itself across the
horizon. Retreating, the sun offers the land its warmth, beams of gold
slicing through the cool air. Ahead, the forest begins to pull together,
trees crowding against each other, and vines twisting about the
moss-covered trunks, creating a wall of vegetation. Strangely, it seems
that some of the forest has become interlaced into a poetic arch, crossing

I do wonder how nowclan can harbor so many randomers, yet not random?

    Maybe it's on unknowns.
  2. Seq · 3 Aug 2005
Thanks for your enlightening contribution of a baseless accusation completely out of left field.
  3. Rurh · 3 Aug 2005
    Corey randoms.
    Adam randoms.

    These are not factless accusations.

    Rurh

Nowclan hasn't been randoming on unknown chars, and you admitted yourself we don't random on our known chars.

As to the 'many randomers' that Nowclan 'harbors', you mentioned Adam and Corey. First of all, I wouldn't desribe two people in a clan as 'many'. Second, they don't random anymore, maybe because Nowclan has rules about randoming, maybe because we provide enough fun with zoning and retaliating against aggressors to keep them from randoming. After all, most randoming is done out of boredom.
  5. Rurh · 3 Aug 2005
I didn't say they were randoming on unknowns.

    'Many' is relative.
  6. Malth · 3 Aug 2005
Many is not relative you stupid troll.

2 out of a dozen or so =| many.

Ofcourse you're the same idiot who talks about what's best for a game, then suggests things a small minority of players would like.
  7. nol · 3 Aug 2005
    holy shit gj nowclan
  8. Myte · 3 Aug 2005
Hah wtf are you talking about randomers for !
I don't see anything random or wrong about killing RGB's.
    More logs like this pls.

"Many is not relative you stupid troll.

2 out of a dozen or so =| many."

    1) I'd like you to think about your own quote. It's nice how you say something, then in the next sentence, contradict yourself.

    2) It doesn't take many parts-per-million of a particular poisonous gass for it to be 'too much'.

    It's relative to the situation.
  10. tikk · 3 Aug 2005
Rurh irl : "Hey guys, in this game adam and corey are two people randoming in this clan, they might be only two people but its like how small amounts of poisonous gas can be deadly. THERES ONLY TWO OF THEM LIKE THERES ONLY TWO PARTS TO THE GAS"

    sad

People should just ignore Rurh. He spewed forth garbage everytime he talks (or posts).
  12. RottenPotato · 3 Aug 2005
Oh ho ho we're two dangerous motherfuckers all right. Shut up Rurh, kiss my nuts.
  13. u05 · 3 Aug 2005
I especially liked the trash reloing with sub25 mage to find our location while i tried to hide my other group member
  14. Manu · 3 Aug 2005
The whole mage class should be banished from Arctic whatsoever, so that pissed-off people (who would happen to lose at some certain moment of time) would be given no chance to mention "trashy" actions of the said class.
Would you listen to those, you'd think that a mage is prohibited from using spells whatsoever, whether it's a player killing situation, or information gathering, or hunting.

Hope my gear was worth having 3 people die, jerks!
  16. Rurh · 3 Aug 2005
    Rick:

It's nice how you can take random parts of someone's post and string them together in a way that says something the person didn't say.

    Sad.
  17. tikk · 3 Aug 2005
How am I taking random parts? I think everyone here can agree I said the same thing you did. Lets take a vote!
  18. bribera · 4 Aug 2005
    I vote against Rurh.

    (what's are we voting on, again? ... :P )
  19. Rurh · 4 Aug 2005
An idiot could see that you took two seperate parts of my post, that were making two seperate points on two seperate things, strung them together to say something different.

I made zero comparison of corey/adam to poisonous gas.

But you never were very good at reading comprehension.
  20. Malth · 4 Aug 2005
"2) It doesn't take many parts-per-million of a particular poisonous gass for it to be 'too much'."

Hate to break it too you, but 'too much' and 'many' aren't the same thing. There might be 'too much' toxic gas in the air, but are there many parts-toxic-gas? No, there aren't.
  21. Rurh · 4 Aug 2005
There'd be plenty of people who'd disagree with you.

A few years ago Maine had 'many' snowmobile related deaths (at 11).

Maine has more than 15 people living here.
  22. Rurh · 4 Aug 2005
And once again, you're splitting hairs on the variation of a definition that in the end doesn't even really matter much, but somehow disproves what the person was saying.

At best you might nail someone for not the best word choice.
  23. deoph · 4 Aug 2005
Malthros I would delete that post if I were you...
Parts-per-million or ppm is the system by which gas is measured, and certainly that means individual molecules per million molecules in a given space, making many the appropriate descriptor.
  24. Rurh · 4 Aug 2005
There can be many thieves in a city even though the actuall count to normal citizens is quite low.

It depends on how much affect each instance brings.

    The converse is also true.

If out of a potentiall graduating class of 100, 85 succeed to graduate on average, and this year 90 graduated, which doesn't happen that high often, you'd say that 'many people graduated this year', even though it's not much higher than normal.
  25. Rurh · 4 Aug 2005
First of all, you don't seem to comprehend what the prior discussion was about.

Secondly, it doesn't take many thieves to ruin a lot of people's day. Same with randomers - who's basis of fun is ruining as many people's fun as possible.

    Thirdly, and?

Randoming with unknowns is trashy, because the person has nothing to lose - as opposed to using their main chars, plus getting the clan in trouble.

Trash chars against other people's serious chars isn't good.

What's the point of enforcing no-randoming rules, then turning around and having no problem with randoming with your characters?

The rest of your 'essay' was unrelated.
  26. adam- · 4 Aug 2005
Why do you need to post 4 times to explain your shitty analogies no one cares about
  27. tikk · 4 Aug 2005
Let him post adam, the more he posts how you two "random" and how NOWClan harbours you guys, they more ppl will like NOWClan since everyone hates what Rurh has to say.

So everyone Rurh posts, hes actually doing whatever hes arguing against a favour.

    Sucker!

    Rick

    PS Manitoba power!
  28. doobie · 4 Aug 2005
The only reason I can comprehend Rurh making the plethora of different posts that he does is to persuade people to support/acknowledge his idea's and viewpoints. However, he totally misses the mark because he's ridiculously confontrational and adamant with his views.

How do you plan to persuade anyone like this Rurh? There mere fact that literally every person I know, from Nowclan to ex-Wild to BSP to random neutrals I group with hate you, seem's like a pretty strong grounds for the assumption that you do a horrible job at persuading people. People are always more inclined to consider your idea's if they can relate to you or like you. The fact that you make no pretense whatsoever to develop this kind of relationship with people on the forums/here undermines everything you say, because it's pretty obvious your primary goal is to get attention and be an annoying prick instead of improve anything.
  29. bribera · 4 Aug 2005
Rurh should get a job as a door-to-door salesman. He'd make no money, and probably get beat up all the time.
  30. Rurh · 4 Aug 2005
Woo! Doobie only one who came close to a constructive post.

Though I only really have one thing to say to you.

    *shrug*

    Sometimes the obvious isn't correct.
  31. Rurh · 4 Aug 2005
    No, wait!

I do have something else to say!

Adam, so Malthros gets the point.
