reafe: Once, back in 01 my friends got me to random with them. Personally, I don't get any enjoyment out of jumping someone who's at a serious disadvantage and who has done nothing to me. Just isn't my style.
It's called being a smart tactician. Running after obvious trash bait, and into a 4 or 5 on 1 or 2 ambush is something you would do, not me.
I won't apologize for my methods in war. I shall do whatever I deem necessary to gain victory and limit the casualties on my side. I can't help it if some people on this mud still think lining up in 3 rows, with muskets loaded, is still the pinnacle of modern warfare.

I can understand if things are evenly matched, like you both have 6-8, and CORE doesn't wanna leave the inn and play, and that's frustrating to you, but why are you complaining that an enemy clan won't come out to engage you with an overwhelming advantage?
Look at it from a risk-benefit perspective, here are the possible outcomes if they come out:
1) They gang up on one or two guys, win, and get flagged when the rest of the enemy logs in force. Probably lose, and of course humiliation of falling for the oldest trick in the book.
2) They gang up on one or two guys, who are actually pretty damn buff, and get their asses handed to them--unlikely, but pretty embarrassing if it happens.
3) They gang up on those guys, win like they're expected to, get some gear, and nobody logs in to take advantage of flags. Not much glory gained as they post another 10v2 log, probably not great gear gained if opponents were willing to log on and challenge superior numbers, and the purpose wasn't an ambush.
Of course, if I were CORE, I probably would have gone out to fight, since innsitting meant spending 20 minutes listening to Ben read Bedtime Stories with Sean Hannity and Michelle Malkin.

Anyone who had any knowledge of that war knew damn well that Apoc was fighting a 100% trash war after the first week or so. Why in hell are we going to go kill NAKED chars who's only purpose for logging was to hope they could kill a few of us and get some good loot?
And to top it off you guys had outlaw unknowns popping outa the woodwork everywhere who's only reason for helping was that they wanted to be in a trash war (since I guess their war with mael wasn't enough for them or something). Why in hell are we going to risk our lives and eq fighting people who had NOTHING to lose, and everything to gain?
Plus Apoc had a history of using trash to bait a few Core to go hunting just so you could log backup and jump us. The only time we were fairly sure you guys were not planning something of that nature was when Brandon wasn't on, since all Apoc EVER did when he wasn't on was run and hide, or rent the second even one of us showed an interest in killing you.
Shit.... I chased off SOOOO damn many Apoc and their outlaw allies during the day just by throwing a few tingles at them. It never failed. You guys would fall over yourselves running to the inn to rent before the big bad lone shaman tingles you again.
So, tell me again why we should have risked everything, while you risked nothing, and go after obvious trash? I think you are just pissed that we were not dumb enough to fall for all your BS tricks so you decided to talk all this trash to try and goad us into attacking out of shame or something at "inn sitting" a lot.

The point in this game is to have fun, and chasing/killing naked chars is not my idea of fun. And just because this is a game, doesn't mean I have to play it your way or the way anyone else believes I should. If I choose to only go after chars that I will BENIFIT from killing in a war, then that's my choice, and my choice alone.
So, tell me... How does killing a naked char, who see's death as nothing to be concerned about, benefit me in the least? Because I'm honestly failing to see how such a venture is very cost effective, or rewarding to me.
PS. Sure, it's just a game... And I happen to get the most enjoyment out of all the games I play by out thinking and out maneuvering my opponents. Nothing very fun in knowing you just got your ass handed to you because you screwed up and did something dumb.

And just where is the reward in attacking someone who has shop/crap eq? I won't get xp or ranks from the kill. I won't even get the satisfaction of knowing I set the enemy back. So, just where in all of that is the incentive for me to take on such a risk?
