You just don't get us, do you? Directly after that fight, most of us were laughing and rather enjoyed ourselves. The fact that both sides were killing their own with area was just priceless. The only people who "might" leave Core are those who don't really help in the war anyway (not to mention don't log much), and thus are not a real issue.

You constantly keep saying how you are going to smash Core, and how we'll never log and blah blah blah. Yet, thus far all you guys have managed to do is get your asses handed to you twice, score a few kills on a very zone oriented group, and arrange a rather slow ambush that managed to kill one of your own.

Wake up and look around man, Core isn't afraid of Mael, and we sure as shit are not going to disband just because we have to be careful when/how we log our Core chars.

The fact is that, if you guys didn't have all those naked mages with area, that Core would be logging, for the most part, when and how we desired. You're a one trick pony, and I think most everyone on this mud easily see's that.

PS. We all had a very good laugh at how you guys tried to get us to go fight you again, directly after this ambush. We should probably feel a bit insulted, since you guys obviously think we are morons or something, but its hard to feel insulted when the taunts come from the likes of John.

Also, most of my last comment was aimed DIRECTLY at Patrick and John, and the crew they roll with at nights. I know that Mael has some damn good pk leaders, and I respect that skill. But, facts are facts, and thus far they have only caused Core to zone with more energy than we have in a long time, not to mention smarter and quicker.

Hehe.... I'm having more fun than I have in awhile on this mud, to be honest. The zoning has improved a lot since we are more focused on a goal than just zoning "just to zone". And the fighting is fun as hell as well since I'm learning and gaining needed experience.

I have no personal grudges against anyone in CORE. How could I with so many ex-BSP ex-Darkmoon ex-neutrals I played with for a long time. Pretty sure we all feel the same with probably some exceptions in both sides. The start of this war was pretty stupid (yes, both sides), but people like the fun of PK so why not if everyone is ok with it. There's no point in finding excuses to justify this or that. It's not like we're obliterating them, because so far they won more eq-wise, but we won more zone-wise since people now have a reason to load decays, pop spells, whatsoever. I don't think anyone is taking this too seriously, at least I'm not.

It's a text game...how serious can you take it? What's amusing about this text game we all seem to love so much is that you can go 10v10 and get your ass kicked, but log back on and tell the person who delivered the fatal blow what a great job they and their group did in defeating you and your brethren.

I had some great laughs with taylor/diogo the other day, even after they had just taken my whole set and caused me to lose a handful of experience. Is it that serious? Not at all. At the end of the day, it's still just a game - one comprised entirely of text, at that. The purpose of a game is to be a source of fun, and it just so happens that ours also gives us the awesome opportunity to have loads of interaction with people from all over the world. Sure, there will be those who take it too seriously, but for the rest of us, I'm glad we can log onto such a game and have a blast with each other, even if we're on opposite sides of a battlefield.

Personally, this past month or two has been some of the funnest of this entire wipe. Sure, I enjoy zoning and the start of the wipe WAS extremely fun for me (especially since I played a shaman from hour one).

The wars with PWA, then Mael, have actually gotten me interested in the mud again, and this time there's actually a challenge to face, and not just some mind numbing kill this, bash that, omg EJECT!

I put this together to have some fun. The limits are subjective, so use your judgement when applying the values to the equation. Seems to work in most cases!

SL = Average Skill Level of players involved: Leader (5), Experienced (3), Basic (1)
GS = Group Size |active players, daily play|: Full, 10+ (1), Medium, 7-9 (3), Small 3-6 (5)
AG = Average Group Demographic: Addiction (often aged 17-23) (5), Mature 24-on (3), Game loving, but inherantly bad (10-16) (1)
PK = Player Kill Plan: New, and/or tricksy (10), Ambush, mass log, mage bomb, etc. (7) Organized, target assignements (1), Standard, random group of 30's (0)
EQ = Gear and Spells: Elite (0), Good (2), Average (3), Shop (5)
P = Prep: Lots, 5+ heals, 3+ams/magical shields, scribed area, etc (1.2), Some, a few heals, crits (1.1), None (1)

For this battle I assigned these group totals, I tried to be as unbiased as possible:

MAEL: [(3.8) / (1)] * [(3.5) + (7) - (0)] ^ (1) = 39.9
CORE: [(3) / (1)] * [(4.5) + (0) - (2)] ^ (1) = 7.5

If say these groups would have met on equal grounds, the outcomes may have been like this:

MAEL: [(3.8) / (1)] * [(3.5) + (1) -(0)] ^ (1) = 17.1
CORE: [(3.0) / (1)] * [(4.5) + (1) -(2)] ^ (1) = 10.5

We can take CORE's battle in the mage nomagic:
