A Road through the Dunes
Thick layers of desert sand have been compacted into a hardened road
here for travellers to follow as they make their way through the sand
dunes. The sun baked road connects the Khur region to the nearby city of
Delphon, though how many people actually travel this path on a regular
basis is unknown. Harsh winds blow in from the north carrying waves of
blistering heat, marking the entrance to the unforgiving deserts of Khur.

Entering a Barren Desert
The open expanses of desert sands stretch out in all directions. The
barren and desolate landscape exudes a deep emptiness which is compounded
by the lack of life present. Only a few small insects and lizards roam the
sands, and a trio of birds circle in the cloudless sky high above. Some
tiny cacti litter the area and the occasional tumbleweed graces the scenery
with its presence every so often. Waves of heat emanate upwards from the
ground as the sand releases the remnant energy of the desert's sun. A
welcome cool wind breezes in from the south, acting as a guide out of the
unforgiving seas of sand.

The Deserts of Khur
Coarse desert sand blankets the area, littered with the bones of
animals who fell victim to the unrelenting sun. Powerful winds howl over
the sands surface, searching for any source of moisture to suck dry. The
occasional tumbleweed bounces along to the rhythm of the wind and a few
creatures scurry across the sands searching desperately for food, but the
harsh desert doesn't part with any such luxury easily. Cloudless skies meet
sandy dunes on every horizon as the desolate desert stretches farther than
the eye can see.
